I rarely give 5 stars to anything; that implies absolute perfection. However, this review is an exception; I really did have a 5-star experience. Seated at the relaxed, upstairs bar, Diana (bartender) and her capable team were as attentive as an over-caffeinated bellboy (in a very good way); no detail nor want of mine was missed. She handled every client before her with an aplomb best ascribed to King Charles' butler. Starting with my perfectly-smoked old fashioned (with her recommended bourbon, of course), then the spot-on pinot noir recommendation for my markedly-interesting harvest salad (with decadently marinated pear chunks) topped with med-rare stake. The whole food/wine/service experience was Delicious! (Yes, I chose that word as a comprehensive adjective for emotions; it's damned apropos!) By the way, this is the norm at this absolutely delightful establishment.
Nice Food and Nice Place!!! I and my husband went to this place for lunch. Because of the name 'Tavern' we thought this place is not expensive and common restaurant. However, when we entered, we realized it is quite fancy place which is very clean and neat. We ordered a soup, two burgers and fries. All of it was very good. The waitress was very kind, too. My husband and I both were satisfied. It was quite pricy for lunch but food was worth it. Next time, we want to visit here for dinner :)
It was an amazing night! The food was great, and the service was incredible. The flatbread pizza was so good, and my favorite—the wings—were delicious. I usually don’t eat dessert, but they made an outstanding crème brûlée… I loved it! After dinner, we grabbed a couple of drinks at the bar. The manager in charge, Steve, suggested some great options, especially after eating a lot. He was a nice guy and provided excellent service. The parking situation is a little tricky since it’s next to the building in a supermarket parking lot. You can park there and pay at the station.
Amazing! The setting lets you know your are in for a treat. Old world charm greets you as you enter. The staff is super friendly. All the food sources (the farms) are posted on the wall. Service was quick, the staff was attentive, and the courses were awesome. This might just be my new favorite restaurant.
I want to highlight the excellent service provided by Carlos, who was our server. From the very beginning, he was very friendly, attentive, and professional. His recommendations were spot on and truly enhanced our experience. You can tell he knows the menu very well and genuinely cares about making sure guests feel comfortable and satisfied. I would definitely come back and hope to be served by him again. Thank you, Carlos, for the outstanding service! 👏
This is my favorite place to dine in Jersey, whether it's a birthday, girls night, date night or I'm just hungry. I've been here 3x now and the food is always delicious and flavorful. Meat portions are also generous, and staff is always great. I do think their cocktails can use some work and a happy hour would be welcomed. But the atmosphere is beautiful and inviting. I'd recommend the pork chop, short rib and baby back..... delish!
Food was great. From the drinks to the appetizers to the main course. Really liked the clam chowder and salmon. Carlos our server was great. Very attentive to detail and was always making sure we were good. Carlos recommended the velvet cake and it was really good. He also took the time to take us upstairs and show us the bar and paintings of the Addams Family. Very cool place and definitely recommend.
Went here for Valentine's Day for the first time. We had reservations but waited like 20 minutes to be seated. As you can imagine, they were very busy that night. The food was very good. I had ribs while someone else enjoyed halibut. Service was attentive, atmosphere very nice. We will be back.
Came her for the first time with my girl friend and it was amazing. Food and service was amazing. We have the ribs and the baked potatoe. At the end th3 sweet and salty dessert. It was a great time to walk and catch up. We were seated fast on a friday. I love the big juicy apple we got to take we you leave. Will be back soon! Highly recommend 10/10
Had a wonderful time at Addams Tavern, restaurant was very pleasant and well put together. Friendly staff. The Cheesesteak Egg Rolls were excellent and the Faroe Island Salmon was divine. Definitely recommend it cooked medium. Hugo Spritz cocktail was one of the best I’ve had. Can’t wait to return
